Jill Rippon

Jill Rippon is a two-time Ivy League graduate of Columbia University, where she earned a B.A. in History and a M.S. in Occupational Therapy. A native of the Bronx who has lived in various regions across the country, Jill naturally builds meaningful connections with people from all backgrounds.

For several years, Jill had served on Columbia University’s Alumni Representative Committee, where she has had the opportunity to interview prospective students and gain firsthand insight into the college admissions process.

Jill’s interest in college admissions grew further as she helped guide her own children through the process. Her daughter recently graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, San Diego with a B.S. in Clinical Psychology and a minor in the Philosophy of Cognitive Science, while her son is currently pursuing International Relations and Hispanic Studies at the College of William & Mary in Virginia.

With a longstanding commitment to supporting children and families, Jill began her career as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist working in New York City, Florida, and Minnesota. In these roles, she conducted clinical assessments and delivered individualized therapy for children with developmental and physical challenges. Jill deeply values community service and spends much of her free time volunteering.

Jill’s academic and clinical background, her experience conducting college interviews, and her passion for helping young people achieve their goals led her to the world of college essay coaching. Today she brings her creativity, empathy, and critical thinking skills to help students “dig deep” to craft clear, authentic and compelling personal statements, and looks forward to guiding them through this adventure!
